Citrine is a yellow to orange variety of quartz. It is often used in jewelry and is believed to have healing properties. Citrine is also the birthstone for November. It is not a rare stone and is relatively affordable. It is often heat-treated to enhance its color. Some of the major sources of citrine are Brazil, Spain, France, and Russia.
